Upgrading Your Office with Glass Walls, Part 1

Looking to update your office space?

Here are three ways that glass walls and partitions can majorly upgrade your workspace!

Aesthetic Integration

Your office should reflect your company’s personality and professionalism. Glass walls and doors can do just that — offering clean lines and a polished, modern look.

We’ll help you choose the right glass type, frame style, and finish to harmonize with your existing décor. Options include:

• Clear glass for an open, airy aesthetic
• Frosted or tinted glass for a softer, more subtle atmosphere
• Decorative or etched glass for a branded or textured appearance

These design choices ensure your new glass walls enhance, rather than overwhelm, your space’s visual balance.

Privacy Meets Transparency

Transparency promotes collaboration, but some degree of privacy is still essential. Frosted bands, decorative films, or patterned glass can provide privacy where it’s needed — without closing off your space.

To prevent the “fishbowl effect,” many businesses opt for frosted or textured glass panels that obscure views at eye level while maintaining light flow above and below. This approach keeps meetings and individual work areas comfortable while maintaining an open feel.

Safety, Strength, and Durability

Our commercial glass systems are built for everyday use. We use tempered or laminated safety glass, which is up to five times stronger than standard glass. In the rare event of breakage, it crumbles into small, rounded pieces rather than sharp shards — minimizing the risk of injury.

All hardware and fittings are commercial-grade, ensuring your glass walls and doors perform beautifully for years to come.

Popular Shower Door Options in 2025

Are you dreaming of a bathroom that feels more open, modern, and functional?

Check out these stylish options for replacing a bathtub with a shower!

Sliding Doors

Sliding shower doors remain the most space-efficient option for tub-to-shower conversions. Modern sliding doors are nothing like the clunky framed versions from decades past. Today, you’ll find elegant frameless sliders, including barn-style tracks that combine sleek design with practicality.

Door & Panel

For a standard 60” tub-to-shower conversion, a common setup is a door-and-panel arrangement—a glass door on one side and a fixed glass panel on the other. The size of the door is tailored to your bathroom layout, with adjustments made if your vanity or toilet is nearby.

Panel-Only (Walk-In Showers)

Fixed glass panels create an open-concept, spa-like feel without the need for a door. Typically, the panel is installed on the same side as the shower controls, leaving an open entry. While this design does allow more water to escape onto the bathroom floor, your shower door specialist can help determine the right panel size and placement to minimize splashing.

Challenges with a Tub-to-Shower Remodel

Are you considering swapping out your bathtub for a shower?

There are several great reasons to do this, but also a few challenges to consider. Fortunately, the technicians at Wolverine Glass can help with all of them!

Here is a brief description of things to consider before making the swap:

Bathrooms originally built with a tub in mind often present unique design challenges when converting to a shower. One of the biggest considerations is space.

In many homes, the toilet is located close to the tub, which can limit where and how a shower door can open. A swinging shower door, for example, might hit the toilet or vanity. In these cases, sliding doors or fixed glass panels are often better solutions.

This is where working with an experienced shower door designer makes a big difference—they’ll help you balance functionality, layout, and style to find the perfect fit for your space.

Grab Bars for Safety

When you think about the future, does your shower seem inadequate for the next stage of life?

If safety, comfort, and accessibility are your top priorities, you’re not alone. As we get older, everyday activities—like showering—can become more difficult, especially in bathrooms that weren’t designed with aging in place in mind.

Fortunately, modern shower designs make it easier than ever to combine safety with style. As you plan your bathroom remodel, here are a few essential features to consider for a safer, more functional shower space.

Grab bars are a must-have for improved stability and peace of mind, but they must be installed correctly. Never attach grab bars to shower doors or glass—they need to be anchored securely into the wall to provide real support.

Remember: towel bars and decorative handles are not a safe substitute. Be sure to talk to your Wolverine Glass technicians early about your plans so they can include the proper wall blocking and reinforcement during construction.

Making Your Shower Wheelchair-Accessible

Is your bathroom safe for friends and family who use wheelchairs?

Here are two ways that you can make your bathroom more accessible for wheelchair users:

Consider a Curbless Shower for Easy Access

Curbless walk-in showers are an increasingly popular choice for aging in place designs. With no step or threshold to navigate, they make it easier to enter and exit—whether you're using a walker, wheelchair, or simply want to reduce tripping hazards.

Just keep in mind: curbless showers require careful planning to prevent water from escaping into the rest of the room. A properly sloped floor and strategic drain placement are essential.  Installing a curbless shower as a part remodel can be challenging because the framing structure and layout of the bathroom may not allow for the proper amount of slope.  Sometimes the best choice is to use a smaller curb that is easier to step over, but still keeps the water in the shower.

Don’t Overlook Shower Door Width

If you or a loved one uses a wheelchair, the shower entrance needs to be wide enough to accommodate it. ADA guidelines recommend at least a 32-inch clear opening, which typically requires a 33-inch-wide door.

This can be a challenge in smaller bathrooms, especially where space is tight around vanities or toilets. In these cases, significant layout adjustments may be needed to meet accessibility standards without compromising usability.
